Getting Healthy Together - Back in the Groove

I'm teaming up with some other ladies who are working on making their lives be healthy - either by eating habits or exercise or some other plans. Each Friday we'll be posting our progress and checking in to show what we're up to.
My health goals are so hard for me, and I have no idea why. I can't seem to be able to exercise routinely, eat healthy regularly, or see progress towards any of the goals that I have. I get discouraged easily. And that sucks - especially when you don't get a lot of real life encouragement.
BUT... the kids are on my team, and are determined to remind me of what I should be doing. They even give up TV time to remind me to use the TV for my walking videos.
Have you heard of Leslie Sansone's Walk-At-Home program? I managed to get one of her videos when the local movie store closed and have really enjoyed it when I use it. I also found a DVD with easy yoga (something new for me), which I've tried and found interesting - so nice to STRETCH! And I got a tae-bo related workout program too very cheap somewhere, but it's too advanced for me atm. I'm so unco-ordinated haha.
This past week, I did a lot of work outdoors - weeding, cutting grass, moving patio stones around and carrying bags of gravel. It was hard labour, and I fully count it as exercise. My snack choices weren't always healthy (darned cookies), but I was thinking about what I was snacking on - which is a new consciousness for me.
In a few weeks, the kids start their gym classes once a week at the YMCA, and I'll go back to using the treadmills for about 45 mins of their lesson. I discovered I can read and walk, so that's good! If I had the ability to, I'd consider trying to get to the Y more often, but haven't quite figured out how to do that in our lives.
My goals for this upcoming week:
1. Drink water instead of juice, pop, or milk, during the day, and have milk with meals.
2. Do my walking video every single day .... even if I don't want to.
3. Take my vitamins.
